With more than 30 years of experience in the hair industry, the well-dressed Angeline has worked in prominent hair salons in the 90s before opening her chain of hair salons for close to 20 years. From a young age, she has been extremely particular about her hair, which spurs her interest in becoming a hairstylist. She has been named Asia’s Regional Award winner by Zotos, a subsidiary of the Shiseido group, and was a finalist at the L’Oreal Colour Trophy, which eventually led her team to win the Schwarzkopf Best Salon Team of the year award. She was also a Schwarzkopf ambassador. Besides having worked on Singapore Fashion Week, President Star Charity, and Retrolicious, she has also styled the 80s singing sensation Belinda Carlisle and local actress Adele Wong count on her to get her tresses fixed. 2017 is a new milestone for her setting up The X’ Cut.

The mother of 2 came into the industry unexpectedly more than 25 years ago. From a young age, she has never crossed her mind to be a hairdresser, and only after her friend kept pestering her to help in their short-handed salon where she gradually developed a keen interest. She has worked with Singapore’s major fashion & lifestyle magazines such as Her World, Style, 8 Days, and iWeekly. Wei Ling has also styled regional celebrities like Taiwanese boyband 5566, Hong Kong actors Moses Chan and Bernice Liu and various local celebrities. She has also collaborated with Juicy Couture, La Mer, and Bobbie Brown for their events. Being a hardcore Korean drama fan has inspired her to learn new techniques and create the latest trends for her clients.

Born and bred in Shanghai, the happy-go-lucky Yvonne travelled to Singapore in the early 90s to work in the engineering line. With a keen passion for fashion and beauty, she decides to quit and pursue her dreams in the hair industry. Inspired by her hairstylist giving her different hairstyles each time during her teenage years, Yvonne enrolled in a hairstyling course in Singapore and rose from an assistant to a stylist within a year. Over the years, she has participated in hair competitions organized by Shiseido, Schwarzkopf and Wella. Yvonne has also done shows such as Fashion Steps Out Orchard and President Star Charity. With her easygoing personality and outstanding skills, she has clients that visit the salon daily to get their hair styled by her.

An award-winning stylist, Jacky is highly versatile, especially in creative colouring. Clients can count on him to perfect different styles ranging from edgy to wearable looks. With an extensive 27 years of experience, he often challenges himself by participating in various competitions. For six consecutive years since 2014, Jacky has participated in Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge, achieving outstanding results each time, and was the National Gold Winner 2015 in the creative colorist category. Goldwell also appointed him as a trainer for their Singapore Color Zoom Top awardees. As the current National Artist for Schwarzkopf, Jacky is active in hair shows and product launch seminars and is always in pursuit of hairdressing excellence and perfecting his craft in the artistry of hair.

Having been based in Singapore for the last eight years, the self-proclaimed introvert graduated in banking from a university in Taiwan and worked for only two weeks in a bank before calling it quits as a corporate 9 to 5 job was not his cup of tea. Ryan’s interest has always been in fashion and beauty. He helped in his friend’s salon before traveling to Japan to be trained under Shiseido and Milbon. He is extremely good at perming as a mentor who excels in perming taught him. He has worked with Taiwanese pop group Mayday & Soda Green and local singer Gong Zhiyi. His works also appeared in international magazines such as GQ, Vogue Taiwan, Vivi & Men’s Uno.

Affectionately known as Cat to her peers and clients, her passion as a hairdresser came from her mother, who always loves looking good. It inspired her to pick hairstyling as a career. She has worked on various MediaCorp’s variety TV programs including celebrities such as TV host Youyi and Radio DJ Lim Peifen. During her free time, Cat also does charity work by giving free haircuts to the disabled and old folks. Her ambition is to set up her salon with a café back in her native town, Ipoh in Malaysia.

Always having a happy-go-lucky and positive attitude, Angel has been in the hair industry for seven years. Her foray into the industry was inspired by her teacher and getting a kick out of washing clients’ hair. It is no wonder clients love her excellent treatment services. Despite her petite frame, she is known to be a big eater. Her travel bucket list includes Japan for food and Switzerland for relaxation. Her ambition is to open a hair salon that takes clients by appointment only, which fits her laid-back lifestyle.

The newest member of The X’ Cut family, Ying can speak fluently in Thai as she comes from a mixed heritage background of Thai and Chinese parentage. Although new to the hair industry, this soft-spoken lass is picking up fast, extremely diligent and attentive. Clients love her attentive and excellent services. She is also a big fan of Korean dramas and Taiwanese street food.
